Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits’ products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits’ sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $87,500 per year

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Production Planner and Scheduler plays an essential role in the manufacturing process through the planning and scheduling of production activities within the manufacturing facilities. The individual must work closely with various teams, including production, inventory, procurement, sales, and marketing, to ensure that materials and resources are available to meet production goals. 

This position is responsible for creating production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and analyzing production data to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, reducing waste, and minimizing costs. They are also responsible for working with the supply chain group to expedite the delivery of raw materials to ensure timely production. 

Job Function:

  • Manufacturing Planning & Controlling:
    • Review customer orders to be shipped in the upcoming weeks.
    • Create production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of products within a pull production system.
    • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to maintain optimal customer service levels.
    • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials for production.
    • Collaborate with production teams to ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of all equipment.
    • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes and recommend necessary changes.
    • Communicate with sales and customer service teams to ensure that timelines and expectations are met.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop new products and enhance existing ones.
    • To support teams with the New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts.
    • Manage production schedules and timelines to adhere to budget constraints.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, inventory, and supply chain information.
    • Must be able to present data and ideas clearly in meetings and presentations.
    • Any other job-related task assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
    • To work in accordance with all company procedures.
  • AS400 Responsibilities:
    • Skip and add Production operations in routing.
    • Correct/Update Production Runs on the floor as needed.
    • Print special reports such as mobility, reject reports, etc. per supervisor’s request from various departments.
    • Resolving bar code and general AS400 related issues.
  • Kit Room Responsibilities:
    • Expedite missing material with purchasing, Production Control and Material Planning and follow-up kits in Kit Room.
    • Assist in expediting urgent raw material through receiving and inspection areas.
  • Problem Resolution & Improvements:
    • Address all quality-related concerns to Quality and MPE Department
    • Review manufacturing and Production problems and take necessary actions to resolve them.
    • Initiate and trigger process or business-related improvements, which may include eliminating redundancies or improving ways of doing things in a more economical manner.
    • Identify and coordinate all software-related requirements, upgrades, and changes with AS/400 group.
    • Coordinate with appropriate departments to resolve any AS400 issues.
  • QC Sheet review & maintenance:
    • Perform verification of QC sheets for special customer requirements e.g., TD requirement
    • Create, review, and approve custom QC sheet (C runs) requests.
    • Do maintenance on release manufacturing orders, which includes updating routing and bill of materials.
  • Waivers, ECO’s and Rework Instructions:
    • Initiate and approve waivers, rework instructions and ECOs.
    • Participate in ECO review meetings and assist in preparing manufacturing documentation for special models.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in a Technical or related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in a pull production environment and the use of ERP/MRP systems are also necessary.
  • Prior related experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MS Office Suit with advanced Excel skills; ability to create, manipulate, and utilize spreadsheets, and word processing programs a must.
  • Must be able to complete flow charts.
  • Effective time management and the ability to work under pressure are also crucial, given the tight deadlines associated with the job.
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders, communicate proficiently and professionally to ensure smooth operations.
  • Must be able to read, write, and orally communicate in English.
