This is an ideal opportunity for students passionate about software engineering to apply their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and learn modern web development practices from experienced professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
People:
Collaborate with developers, designers, product management, and senior engineers to build and maintain application features in an agile environment.
Create a positive team member experience by supporting team initiatives and knowledge sharing.
Client:
Code, test, and debug full stack applications while maintaining source code control and application software versioning.
Effectively communicate technical information and work status accurately and reliably to project leads and managers.
Value:
Support development of user experiences and back-end services using modern programming languages and frameworks.
Maintain and contribute documentation around API designs, database schemas, and testing infrastructure.
Assist in implementing systems and enhancements in line with production standards and change control guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related study.
- Anticipated graduation date within one year of internship
- Minimum Overall and Major GPA of 2.8
Computer Skills:
- Languages: Typescript, JavaScript (ES5/ES6), HTML, CSS, C#, SQL
- Frameworks: Angular, React, Bootstrap, NodeJS, .NET
- Familiarity with multi-tiered application development is a plus.
Professional Skills Requirements:
- Work effectively in a fast pace, high-energy environment.
- Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.
- Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and etc.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Plano TX Hourly Salary: $22.60 - $26.30.
Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation.
