They shall independently perform critical tasks in assessing, initiating, monitoring and terminating treatment in an acute hospital setting. Communicates problems or concerns to appropriately credentialed physician, patient hospital primary nurse and others as necessary.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EResponsible for the implementation, administration, monitoring, and documentation of patient%27s response to prescribed intradialytic transfusions, including appropriate notification of adverse reactions to physician and appropriate transfusion policy.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECollaborates and communicates with physicians and other staff to interpret, adjust, and coordinate patient care plan to ensure continuity of care.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAccurately records all physician orders and treatment information in the individual patient medical record.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EReports any significant patient information to the correct team member(s), including the physician.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAppropriately and accurately completes any required documentation.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPromotes and assists in maintaining a safe and clean working environment in order to maintain environmental integrity and aesthetics.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECleans and disinfects dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment, and surrounding areas between treatments according to company policies and procedures.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECompletes all tasks necessary for the preparation of the dialysis treatment and documents where appropriate.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPerforms all required pre-treatment dialysis machine alarm testing, and quality assurance testing.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EPrepares, organizes, and efficiently utilizes supplies and equipment to prevent waste.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EOperates all hospital equipment appropriately and safely, provides minor trouble-shooting when necessary, and follows hospital emergency procedures when required.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EUnderstands, conducts and documents appropriately dialysis machine safety tests/alarm tests, equipment calibration, dialysate testing, machine safety tests, functional testing, and internal and external disinfection on all water machines, and complies with documentation/notification standards per company policies.%3C/li%3E%3C/ul%3E%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3ESECURITY AND EEO STATEMENT%3C/strong%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cstrong%3ESecurity%3C/strong%3E%3Cbr%3EThis position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Cstrong%3EEEO%3C/strong%3E%3Cbr%3EUT Southwestern Medical Center is committed to an educational and working environment that provides equal opportunity to all members of the University community.
