The Scholar Recruitment Coordinator leads recruitment, marketing, and external engagement for the Huntsman Scholar Program. This full-time, 12-month position plays a critical role in attracting exceptional students, sharing the program’s impact with external audiences, and leveraging data to evaluate and enhance program effectiveness. The Coordinator collaborates closely with the Huntsman School’s Recruitment, External Relations, and Marketing teams to ensure strategic alignment, consistent messaging, and year-round program visibility.
Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Admissions
- Design and implement innovative, year-round recruitment strategies that align with college-wide initiatives to attract highly qualified applicants consistent with the program’s mission and the goal of reaching 600 Scholars by 2030.
- Manage the full admissions process, including application design, reviewer coordination (60+ reviewers), and selection in collaboration with the Program Director and admissions committee.
- Promote the program through high school visits, events, and college events, coordinating recruitment communications and outreach with the Huntsman Recruitment team.
- Maintain an annual recruitment cycle plan that supports continuous relationship-building with schools, advisors, and prospective students in tandem with the Huntsman Recruitment team.
Marketing & External Engagement
- Coordinate marketing and storytelling efforts across multiple channels (LinkedIn, stewardship reports, website, and print materials) to share program successes with external stakeholders throughout the year.
- Oversee and manage website updates, ensuring content is current, visually appealing, and aligned with the Huntsman brand and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with Huntsman External Relations to strengthen alumni and employer partnerships through consistent communication and visibility efforts.
- Develop impact stories that highlight student achievements, program outcomes, and professional mentor contributions, using storytelling to elevate the program’s visibility and reputation.
- Manage the annual marketing calendar, ensuring consistent messaging and timely promotion across recruitment, alumni, and donor engagement periods.
- Support alumni engagement through coordinated communication, event collaboration, and highlighting alumni impact within marketing materials and online platforms.
Data Stewardship & Program Evaluation
- Collaborate with the Huntsman data team to maintain and enhance dashboards that track key impact and engagement, ensuring data is used to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Use analytics and historical trends to forecast program growth and identify areas for improvement in recruitment, engagement, and retention.
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports summarizing key recruitment and impact metrics for leadership, stewardship, and accreditation purposes.
- Recommend and implement strategies to improve recruitment processes, marketing effectiveness, and student development outcomes.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, recruitment, data analytics, student development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment, marketing, admissions, student development, or data management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience creating marketing or storytelling content.
- Experience managing website content or coordinating web updates within a brand or content management system environment.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with a focus on detail, timelines, and follow-through.
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams including internal teams, faculty, alumni, and students.
- Familiarity with data visualization or dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and an understanding of data-driven decision-making.
