Job Overview
The Repair Technician is responsible for performing high-quality repairs and rework on electric vehicles to ensure each unit meets all functional and quality standards before release. This role requires strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and precision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do:
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on electric vehicles according to defined processes and specifications.
 - Conduct rework to correct manufacturing or assembly issues identified by Quality or Engineering.
 - Diagnose issues using tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software.
 - Execute repairs following approved work instructions, torque specifications, and safety protocols.
 - Verify repair quality and functionality before vehicle release.
 - Document all repair and rework activities accurately in tracking systems or travelers.
 - Maintain organized, clean work areas and care for tools and equipment.
 - Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures, including high-voltage safety.
 - Communicate findings, part needs, and process improvements to team leads and engineering support.
 - Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce rework, improve first-time quality, and increase efficiency.
 
Who You Are:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in automotive, EV, or manufacturing repair (assembly or service).
 - Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic systems.
 - Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
 - Basic computer skills for data entry and work documentation.
 - Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and pride in quality work.
 - Strong commitment to teamwork, communication, and workplace safety.
 - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or relevant training preferred.
