The Production Supervisor for our molding operations will supervisor, plan and assign work, implement and enforce policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Responsible for safety/ quality/efficiency/cost and production team output.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtaining daily priorities from daily priority board
- Conducting daily mold cleaning on all IMM
- Installing and removing molds from IMM following PSS
- Conducting mold cleanings before setup to prevent contamination on production
- Maintaining 6S on Molding Machines, hoses and die carts
- Participating in restarting all Injection Molding Machines on Mondays.
- Performing checks on crane prior to use
- Following ISO procedures when defined including all clean room protocols
- Utilizes forklift as necessary to move molds
- Returning fixtures or auxiliary equipment to the store room at end of production run
- Performs all tasks in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical and hydraulic training preferred.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be proficient in counting and math.
- Familiarity with 6S and lean manufacturing principles.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a in the plastic injection industry

- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, repetitive motions and Hearing
- Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment and to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures
- Subject to noise, vibration, indoor and outdoor environmental conditions and atmospheric conditions to include fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation
- The environment includes a variety of physical conditions, such as moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
