The Director of Grants and Compliance leads the Coalition’s centralized grants management and compliance functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, financial integrity, and regulatory standards. This position is responsible for developing and implementing systems that support the full lifecycle of government and private grants, including proposal review, award administration, reporting, and audit readiness. The Director provides strategic oversight of grant-funded initiatives, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with federal regulations, including Uniform Guidance and Single Audit requirements. This role also serves as a key liaison between program, finance, and development teams, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Essential Job Functions
Oversee the full lifecycle of grants, contracts, and awards in coordination with the Grant Accounting Manager, billing staff, and program teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and private funder requirements, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to funders and internal leadership, including preparation for and coordination of the annual Single Audit, working closely with external auditors and internal finance staff.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the grants administration process, ensuring alignment with CCH’s operational and financial needs, and promoting efficiency and transparency across departments.
Provide ongoing management and oversight for grant-funded initiatives, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget, and are fully integrated within the finance office’s processes and procedures.
Collaborate with Program Directors to support financial compliance, budget development, and strategic planning aligned with grant requirements and organizational goals.
Monitor and interpret evolving legislation and regulatory requirements from governmental and philanthropic funding sources to ensure organizational compliance.
Serve as a compliance advisor to grant writers, ensuring that proposals incorporate appropriate regulatory and reporting considerations.
Conduct internal audits and reviews of grant-funded activities to identify risks, ensure compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
Design and deliver training programs for staff and subrecipients to proactively address compliance issues and build organizational capacity.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications Summary
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required, Master’s degree in accounting preferred.
Extensive experience in audit management, financial reporting and accounting compliance required.
Extensive processing financial accounting activity on an automated general ledger system.
CPA Preferred.
