This is a Full time, 40/hr a week Day shift position. M-F, 7am - 7:30pm.
Must work at least 4 days on site (possibility for 1 remote day a week)
Job Summary
Responsible for both welcoming patients and collecting their personal and medical information. Helps to determine whether the patient will be admitted. Review patients' medical benefits and financial responsibility forms. May also arrange services for patients, such as transportation. Does this position require Patient Care? No
Essential Functions -Communicate with patients, families and healthcare providers to gather required information for admission. -Review and evaluate patient admission requests to ensure eligibility and appropriateness for admission. -Documents patients personal and medical information in the system ensuring all necessary information is completed and approved prior to admission. -Coordinate patient admissions with health care providers, insurance companies and other relevant parties. -Verify insurance coverage and work with patients and families to resolve any issues related to insurance. -Assist patients and families with any question or concerns related to the admissions process.
