PCP BU Controller

Irvine, CA/ Full-time

Your responsibilities

As an effective business partner, this position will drives strategic projects and planning for the Region North America and supports daily activities within the Controlling department to ensure sustainable revenue growth in line with the company objectives. This includes analyzing, identifying and supporting new business opportunities, and evaluating production and pricing strategies.

·       Strategy Controlling

·       Support BSH strategic product planning, budget and forecasting process to include sales, margin, and operating cost

·       Prepare long term financial forecasting of cross category business opportunities to include cost targets, expected price points and gross margin estimates.

·       Data mining of sales to identify growth opportunities, recommend actions

·       Analyze sales with respect to promotional activities and performance in key market areas

·       Assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, constructing and executing methodical recommendations

·       Lead special business opportunity projects

·       Lead controlling group in production/corporate cost saving initiatives

·       Preparation of strategic presentation decks

·       Lead relevant operational projects for regional strategy projects

·       Perform all other duties as assigned.

·       BU Controlling

·       Holistic business management of the respective BU P&L incl. strategy/portfolio evaluation

·       Manage the BU business planning and forecasting process with regards to the core KPIs sales, revenue, product structure and operating costs

·       Ensure cost transparency for the BU along the entire value chain in cooperation with the responsible Operations Controller (e.g. variable factory costs, variable logistics costs, fixed factory costs, development costs, overhead items)

·       Commercial evaluation, operationalization and implementation control of the overall BU strategy (transparency, target tracking, derivation of measures)

·       Evaluate the regional BU roadmap incl. individual projects with regards to economic viability

·       Analyze sales planning, price positioning, product portfolio/structure for the product range, derived from the BU strategy and BP planning

·       Operational business management of the BU in plan, FC and actual: Transparency, variance analysis, definition & tracking of measures, early warning system for the BU (KPI esp. for sales, revenue, variable distribution costs, SG&A local, marketing, market share)

·       Ensure transparency and tracking of budget allocated to BU (development, design, digital)

·       Ad hoc analysis for customer promotional activities, SKU profitability analysis, and strategic topics

·       Verify market share analyses and competitor analyses for the identification of market potential and revenue opportunity

·       Lead for controlling for the business unit in production/corporate cost saving initiatives

·       Supports relevant business unit operational and strategic projects

·       Supports controlling function with other duties as assigned

 

Your profile

·       Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Accounting, Finance) – Required

·       Master's Degree (MBA) – Preferred

·       5-7 Years of Experience (Controlling, Business Development, FP&A, Strategic Planning) – Required

·       Ability to deliver leadership & plan strategically over a longer term horizon

·       Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

·       Experience in consumer products industry preferred

·       High attention to detail

·       Structured thinking paired with creativity and a “can-do” attitude

·       Demonstrated project / program leadership skills.

·       Practical work experience in market research and data analysis

·       Ability to interact with multiple levels of management essential.

·       Experience in preparing and presenting board level presentations

·       Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to meet tight deadlines

·       Strong communication skills, including ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders across all levels of management

·       Advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills

·       Travel Percentage – 10%

Your Pay & Benefits

The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

 Benefits offered include the following:

·        Wellness Plan that allows participating employees to earn lower medical care premiums.

·        401(k) Retirement Plan starting on the first day of the calendar month following 30 days of service.  The plan provides a fully vested 100% employer match on the first 4% of compensation contributed and also includes an annual employer-funded profit sharing contribution dependent on company profitability.

·        Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.

·        Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.

·        The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).

·        40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).

·        12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).

·        BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.
