Overview

St. Joseph School is seeking a Part-time Bus Driver & Cafeteria Associate. This is a combination position. 

Job Responsibilities

Cafeteria Job Responsibilities

• Receive daily student orders (by grade) from the school office
• Accept delivered luncheons from satellite kitchen
• Verify number of lunches received, ensuring hot lunches are in the warmer
• Set up trays, utensils and lunches for three lunch periods
• Ensure that all lunches are received by each student participating
• Responsible for cleaning trays, counters and cleanliness of the kitchen floor daily
• Ensure all health and sanitation guidelines are in place as directed by the School and Parish

Bus Driving Job Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips as scheduled or as needed on an on-call basis.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival and departure.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of students while on the bus, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as school policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working order. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor the behavior and welfare of students on the bus.
• Check all safety belts to ensure that all are secured.
• Handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
• Maintain clear communication with the school administration and parents regarding any delays or issues.
• Uphold and model the values and teachings of the Catholic faith in all interactions with students, staff, and the community.
