Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of aerospace, defense industrial and commercial products: Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
 - Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
 - Schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
 - Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
 - Prepares reports detailing anticipated production goals
 - Perform time studies of product lines.
 - Communicate with production supervisors and managers on schedule status.
 - Develop plans for streamlining processes.
 
- Converts high-level schedule into detail schedules, material requirements lists, and production plans for work centers.
 - Issues work instructions to manufacturing team
 - Expedites daily work through the manufacturing centers in a highly dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment.
 - Analyzes capacity with Manufacturing management
 - Advises management of production status and potential problems to ensure labor, tools, equipment, and services are provided as needed.
 - Coordinates with other internal departments to expedite the movement of parts.
 - Works with Engineering to develop tools and procedures to maximize facility and equipment utilization.
 - Identifies methods to insure products meet Master Schedule requirements
 - Hands-on shop floor
 
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent.
 - Scheduling or program management experience in a manufacturing aerospace environment is strongly preferred.
 - Minimum 3 years of inventory and production control experience or directly related experience..
 - Working knowledge of manufacturing, procurement, quality basics, engineering flows, and reading prints.
 - Experience with creating production schedules and loading into ERP system in a machining manufacturing environment (aerospace environment required).
 - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
 - Experience modifying production schedules for increased efficiency.
 - Experience tracking, reporting and presenting status.
 - Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
 - Ability to communicate effectively and work with leaders, peers, and others as required.
 - Computer knowledge – Microsoft Office including Excel, MS Project (preferred) as well as the Internet Production Scheduling.
 - ERP Systems.
 - Capacity planning, (level loading, Kanban, etc.)
 - Strong customer service orientation.
 - Demonstrated abilities to organize with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
 - Strong written and verbal communication
 - Must be a U.S. person per ITAR (22 CFR 120.15)
