Description

The University of Montana Western Division of Education welcomes applicants for an Instructor specializing in Early Childhood Education. Primary responsibilities will include teaching experientially based courses related to foundations of early childhood education, including but not limited to, professionalism, positive guidance, early childhood curriculum, inclusion, and/or early intervention. Courses may be taught in both online and/or face-to-face formats. Additionally, the successful candidate may be expected to maintain professional service, advising, and committee work.

The successful candidate will:

·         Must hold a Master’s in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

·         Must have demonstrated success teaching in face-to-face and online courses at the post-secondary level.

·         Must have experience for three or more years in an early childhood setting (PK-3rd grade).

Preferred

The successful candidate may:

·         Have additional certification or experience with Infant and/or Toddler groups.

·         Have additional certification in early literacy.

·         Have additional certification in Social Emotional Development.

Class sizes are small, and students take a single course at a time, three hours each day for 18 days, before moving on to the next course.
