Position Summary...
As Senior Director, Walmart Energy, you will advance Walmart’s enterprise energy strategy by leading global initiatives that drive access, cost efficiency, resiliency, and emissions reduction. This role is responsible for scaling innovative energy solutions across the business, building strong partnerships, and enabling long-term value creation for Walmart.In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across Supply Chain, Transportation, Technology, and Finance. The team is dedicated to integrating energy strategy into business planning and execution, driving Walmart’s leadership in sustainability and operational excellence.
This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas.
What you'll do...
- Collaborate with internal teams (Supply Chain, Transportation) to embed energy and decarbonization solutions into business planning and execution, with a focus on fleet decarbonization
- Work closely with internal EV Charging and Utility teams to ensure scalable, cost-effective solutions
- Design and deliver programs that reduce energy costs, strengthen resiliency, and accelerate progress toward renewable and zero-emissions goals
- Deploy and scale new energy technologies (e.g., electrification, distributed generation, storage) to mitigate risk and unlock long-term value
- Foster a culture of innovation and risk-taking, encouraging the team to pilot, test, and scale new solutions that position Walmart as an industry leader
- Develop and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and accountability
What you’ll bring…
- Extensive experience in energy, infrastructure, or transportation with a proven track record of scaling complex programs—especially those tied to fleet or supply chain decarbonization
- Experience leading electrification projects and/or deploying EV charging infrastructure at scale
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships internally and externally, and to communicate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders in a large, matrixed organization
- Comfort taking calculated risks, driving innovation, and piloting emerging technologies
- Experience engaging utility partners and navigating regulatory landscapes

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, business, finance, or related area and 6 years’ experience in utility operations or related area.
8 years’ experience in utility operations or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
