Part-Time Community Supports DSP/Transportation Driver/Split Shift

About the Role

As a Community Supports Direct Support Professional (DSP) and Transportation Driver, you will provide safe and reliable transportation while assisting individuals in achieving greater independence and personal goals.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, values teamwork, and doesn’t mind stepping in wherever needed — from driving routes to coaching in Special Olympics or helping with evening recreation events.
Schedule & Hours:
- Monday–Friday split shift
- Morning routes starting as early as 6:45 AM
- Afternoon routes starting as early as 1:45 PM, ending as late as 5:00 PM
- Average of 18 hours per week
- Additional hours for Special Olympics coaching and recreation events, including some evenings and weekends
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate agency vehicles to transport individuals to and from program and community locations
- Support individuals in participating in community, recreational, and social activities
- Assist with and coach Special Olympics practices and events
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety, dignity, and respect for all individuals served
What We’re Looking For:
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable team players
- Minimum 25 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Class E (Chauffeur’s) License, or willingness to obtain
- CPR, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and Medication Aide certifications, or willingness to obtain
- Reliable and safe transportation
- Ability to be flexible and “go with the flow” — every day is different
Pay & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $20 per hour
- Average hours: Approximately 18 per week
- Sick time accrual begins on Day 1 of employment
