The Senior Account Manager, Hotels & Resorts serves as a strategic liaison between Virtuoso and its luxury hotel and resort brand level partners, with a focus on relationship management, strategic account growth, and long-term partner success This position also oversees other high-level tasks as assigned, including program and marketing analysis.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including (but not limited to): Revenue Performance goals in marketing sales and event attendance sales.      
  2. Develop and execute strategic robust Partner Briefs for each brand level partner.  These will be housed on the CRM platform.  These partner briefs will contain strategic S.M.A.R.T objectives in tandem with the Global Strategy.        
  3. Enter Sales Activities in CRM for global visibility (notes, emails, meetings, calls, tasks).      
  4. Implement, with partners, action plans for growth and engagement with Virtuoso to measure and achieve KPI’s.     
  5. Work within the assigned budget to achieve strategic objectives.      
  6. Collaborative and strategic business planning with partners to develop growth and profitability plans that introduce increased sales of Virtuoso products, services and events, tailored to fit the partner's goals.             
  7. Educate, advocate for, and train partners on relevant Virtuoso products, services and events to increase engagement and preferred partner penetration and sales.      
  8. Maintain and monitor the health of the existing partner portfolio, flag any and all concerns to Directors in a timely manner. 
  9. Manage and grow strong partner relationships, focusing on achieving shared strategic goals with both global and regional preferred partners.
  10. Increase travel partner sales and engagement. Engage partners who may currently not be engaged with Virtuoso (regular analysis of Tableau reports).
  11. Represent Virtuoso at industry trade shows, conferences & meetings as required. 
  12. Assist in Event Management; registrations, waitlists and partner priorities.        

 

 

Educational and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or on the job work experience in the hotel industry equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in hotel sales
  • 5+ years of experience in management preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline driven environment
  • Personable, professional team player a must
  • Proficiency in MSWord, MS Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Demonstrate ability to advise on sensitive issues
  • Ability to identify and grow business relationships
  • Competencies using internal company platforms
    • Uploading Insertion Orders to Magazine Manager 
    • Accounting and billing updates in MM 
    • Providing Metrics to partners on Marketing activities
    • Zoho CRM  
    • Virtuoso EMS
    • Smartsheet 
  • Forward thinking, curious, and creative  
  • Aware of current business trend knowledge
  • Able to collect and analyze complex information, problem solve, and make decisions  
  • Strong skills in inspiring the win-win-win  
  • Ability to work independently  

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Infrequent travel may be required to attend company events (1-3 trips per year).
  • Travel will be primarily domestic but may include some international.

 

Type/Nature of Contacts:

  • Internal: Key job contacts are primarily with managers outside of the job’s immediate work unit/department.
  • External: Daily contact with various external contacts with hotel partners globally.
