Are you a problem-solver who thrives on designing and supporting robust systems infrastructure? Join our team as a Systems Engineer and play a key role in shaping the backbone of mission-critical technologies. If you're ready to take on meaningful challenges, collaborate with talented peers, and make a measurable impact—this is the role for you.

About PCI:

PCI (www.pciconnected.com) is a rapidly growing technology company dedicated to providing innovative IT solutions that empower businesses to thrive in the digital age. We foster a culture that values individual contributions, open communication, and a close-knit team environment. At PCI, we are committed to pursuing excellence, unlocking human potential, and building strong relationships with our clients and employees.

PCI’s commitment to you:

As part of the Technical Operations team, you will design, develop, support, and maintain the organization's hosted systems infrastructure including client-facing assistance to define requirements and recommend technical solutions to help move the client’s technology forward. You will develop, modify, test, and maintain the systems and make updates to system-related installation documentation. This role serves as a point of escalation for System Administration team for outages, issues and or change management support. Work is generally both independent and collaborative in nature and contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.

You might be a great fit if you have experience with:

  • Working directly with clients for evaluation, technical discovery, and solution recommendations. Such as leading discovery sessions to assess infrastructure needs and proposing tailored cloud migration strategies.
  • Azure Cloud technology stack: Deploying Azure Virtual Networks, configuring NSGs, and managing Azure AD-integrated services.
  • Azure and on-prem networking: Designing hybrid network topologies, configuring VPN gateways, and troubleshooting routing between cloud and on-prem resources.
  • On-premises infrastructure design and implementation: Building Hyper-V clusters, deploying Windows Server roles, and integrating with cloud services.
  • Various SAN technologies: (NetApp, Nimble, TruStorage)
  • Backup technologies — both physical and cloud-based: Managing Veeam and Barracuda for on-prem backup, configuring Azure Backup and Recovery Services Vaults, and ensuring compliance with retention policies and disaster recovery plans.
  • IT service delivery: Working within queue(s), familiarity with Autotask PSA, Kaseya RMM, and Auvik Network Monitoring preferred.

Additional skills we value:

  • Mid-level networking expertise: Diagnosing VLAN and subnet issues, configuring DHCP scopes, and managing firewall rules for secure access.
  • Experience supporting remote user environments: Troubleshooting VPN connectivity, deploying remote desktop solutions, and managing endpoint security for distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools: Using Wireshark or PRTG to identify latency issues or unauthorized traffic.
  • Comfort with cloud identity and access troubleshooting: Resolving Azure AD sign-in issues, MFA lockouts, and conditional access misconfigurations.
  • Microsoft modern workplace solution (Intune, Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online): Implementing Intune compliance policies, managing Teams lifecycle, and configuring Exchange Online mail flow.

Requirements

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong listening and communication skills with a friendly customer-focused attitude, as this role will have direct client interaction both virtually and in person at on-site client locations.
