MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST en Lincoln County R-III School District

OPEN POSITION:         MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST                     

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position requires an individual with a strong mechanical and technical skill set to perform a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of District buildings, grounds, and facilities. The successful candidate will serve as the District’s skilled craftsman, specializing in woodworking, casework, cabinetry, and the repair and refinishing of wood surfaces. In addition, this position is responsible for equipment upkeep, general maintenance, and contributing to the efficient and fiscally responsible operation of District resources.

STARTING PAY RATE:                  $19.52 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience in general mechanical and maintenance work

• Demonstrated skill in woodworking, cabinetry, and wood repair/refinishing

• General HVAC knowledge and troubleshooting ability

• Strong problem-solving skills to address general maintenance concerns efficiently

• Ability to operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools

• Possession of a valid Missouri driver’s license (must be maintained throughout employment)

• Minimum age of 18 years

• Knowledge and/or experience in:

  • Electrical, communication, and data wiring

  • Security systems

  • Plumbing and carpentry

  • Small equipment operation and maintenance

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Ability to maintain fiscal responsibility when managing materials and resources
