Role: Guidewire Policy center Architect 
Location: Plano, TX (onsite role), no remote option
Certifications: ACE Certification is required.

Job Summary:
Guidewire PolicyCenter (Certified Professionals) with Cloud Experience –

Key Responsibilities:

1. Core Expertise
  • Extensive experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Strong knowledge of coding standards, code review process, branching/merging strategies, DevOps, and Guidewire best practices.
  • L3 Role: Deep technical expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, troubleshooting complex issues, implementing fixes, and supporting deployments.

2. Incident & Problem Management
  • Handle critical production issues and escalations.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
  • Ensure SLA adherence for incident resolution.
  • Collaborate with L2 teams for unresolved or complex issues.

3. 24×7 Oncall Support
  • Provide round-the-clock support for production systems.
  • Participate in Canary deployments and monitor post-release stability.
  • Respond to alerts and outages during non-business hours.
  • Maintain oncall rosters and escalation matrices.

4. Application Monitoring & Health Checks
  • Monitor Guidewire services, integrations, and batch jobs.
  • Use tools like Datadog, Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK for proactive monitoring.
  • Ensure data consistency across PolicyCenter and downstream systems.

5. Deployment & Release Support
  • Support production deployments and hotfixes.
  • Validate post-deployment functionality and rollback plans.
  • Coordinate with DevOps and QA for release readiness.

6. Knowledge Management & Documentation
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Document known errors and resolutions.
  • Conduct KT sessions for new joiners and cross-functional teams.

7. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify automation opportunities (e.g., log analysis, alerting).
  • Suggest performance optimizations and system enhancements.
  • Participate in value contribution initiatives (e.g., cost savings, tool development).
