Job Description
The Migrant Education Office (MEO) is responsible for administering state and federal programs that serve migratory students and their families in 20 local educational agencies (LEAs) throughout the state. Under general supervision from the Education Administrator I of the MEO and the Multilingual Support Division Director, and working cooperatively with program units and managers throughout the California Department of Education, the incumbent works on the development and monitoring of the Migrant Education Program (MEP) Request for Applications on-line grant application, development and monitoring the MEP budget revision system, and provides technical assistance to the field.

Applicants MUST submit an SOQ with their application. The SOQ should have a title of “Statement of Qualifications, Applicant Name”, be no more than 2 pages, not smaller than 12-point Arial font, and address the following (750 characters max):
1. Describe your experience managing processes or work related to contracts, budgets and/or fiscal review.
2. Describe your experience developing, managing, and/or overseeing web based applications. Please include a description of what type of applications they were.
3. Describe your experience creating, delivering, and/or overseeing supplemental educational programs.
