Cash Application Supervisor en Kimball Midwest

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for a Cash Application Supervisor for our Columbus, OH location.

Responsibilities 

Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Cash Application function with a strong focus on operational excellence and efficiency. This role includes leading, training, and mentoring team members to ensure high performance and professional growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while resolving complex cash application issues. This position fosters a culture of integrity, accuracy, and timeliness, driving continuous improvement in cash application processes.

• Responsible for supervising all administrative tasks associated with Cash Application functions
• Trains, directs, mentors, and develops Cash Application associates
• Reviews, approves, and/or remedies direct report timecard exceptions and PTO requests
• Functions as the primary point of contact for Cash Application issues
• Provides exemplary customer service to customers, sales representatives, and internal associates
• Partners with the Accounting Operations Manager to develop the Cash Application corporate plan
• Analyzes and resolves advanced Cash Application issues and cases
• Leads the development of business processes and workflows
• Increases operational efficiency in Cash Application processes through continuous improvement efforts
• Resolves technical issues with Cash Application in cooperation with IT
• Investigates root causes of transaction processing issues
• Educates direct reports on Cash Application best practices and general accounting guidelines
• Completes month-end reporting and month-close processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years’ experience in Accounting Services, Cash Application, or similar role
• Intermediate computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Understanding of Internal controls, process flowcharting, and process improvements
• Working Knowledge of bookkeeping principles
• The ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• The successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period
• The execution of an Employment Agreement
