Your role

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Business Development Manager within our PayByPhone division. This position is located in Hatfield and you will be responsible for growing PayByPhone’s corporate presence in the UK by driving the PayByPhone Business product vertical, increasing revenue through new sales, and nurturing existing client relationships. You will report directly to the UK Commercial Director and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What you'll be doing

As a Business Development Manager, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

• Assigned workspace in the Hatfield office, Hybrid work model: 3 days office & 2 days remote.

• Company-issued equipment and full remote access setup.

• Formal, hands-on training provided for all tools and systems.

Role Responsibilities

• Taking shared ownership of the PayByPhone Business product in the UK.

• Proactively generating and managing new business leads within the UK region, carrying your own sales target.

• Acting on leads in a timely manner, ensuring the CRM system is up to date.

• Negotiating the terms of agreements and closing all sales profitably.

• Working in line with established sales processes and procedures.

• Developing sales strategies, profit forecasts, and defining channel plans with the support of the UK Commercial Director.

• Gathering market and client feedback to inform the Managing Director, including forecasting a pipeline of future opportunities.

• Staying up to date with product and market developments, as well as competitor activity.

• Building and maintaining effective relationships with executive decision-makers in key accounts.

• Providing accurate and timely sales reports as required.

• Supporting the development of sales presentations and proposals.

• Collaborating closely with other areas of the internal business.

Qualifications & Skills

• Min. 3+ years of B2B sales experience or equivalent.

• Proven track record of growing a client base, executing commercial deals, and exceeding KPIs.

• Consistent achievement of personal goals and targets.

• Experience in the mobile payments industry is highly regarded.

• Entrepreneurial spirit with a get-it-done attitude.

• Ability to integrate business, technology, finance, and legal concepts in complex deals.

• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

• Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners.

• Commercially astute and customer focused.

• Self-motivated, tenacious, and competitive.

• High level of self-awareness coupled with emotional intelligence.

• Parking industry experience is an asset but not required.

• Experience with enterprise-level CRM systems.
