The Commercial Mechanical Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring mechanical materials, components, and services to support construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects. This role ensures that all mechanical procurement activities deliver maximum value in cost, quality, and delivery performance while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Hours | Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm
Salary | Competitive Depending on Experience
Responsible to | Purchasing Manager 

Responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing mechanical and electrical equipment for projects while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors. Duties include obtaining and analysing quotations, negotiating contracts for optimal value, and supporting project teams with cost control, procurement planning, and budget management. The role ensures procurement aligns with project schedules, mitigates supply chain risks, and adheres to company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations. It also involves maintaining accurate procurement records, monitoring market trends for strategic sourcing, and reporting supplier performance, cost savings, and delivery metrics to senior management.
