What you will be doing

As Finance Manager – Reporting and Consolidation, you will play a pivotal role in delivering financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and insight for Rolls-Royce Defence UK&I. Acting as the right hand to the Financial Controller – UK and International, you will coordinate the smooth running of financial control processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and accuracy. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to gain experience in a complex and high-profile part of Defence, working alongside senior leaders while developing your career in financial control, reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities

In this role you’ll be:

  • Leading the quarterly statutory reporting process, preparing supporting documentation and coordinating wider finance teams to deliver on time and in full.

  • Building strong relationships with external auditors and managing interim and annual audit cycles to ensure deliverables are met.

  • Overseeing the UK&I accounting close process, ensuring compliance with key financial controls and centrally managed tools.

  • Mentoring and coaching Finance Analysts, while providing hands-on support where required.

  • Driving improvements across processes and procedures to deliver greater efficiency and control.

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).

  • Demonstrate experience in statutory reporting and external audit management.

  • Have proven knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and accounting close processes.

  • Show strong communication skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders.

  • Have experience in managing, coaching, or mentoring teams.
