Position Summary
The Battery Shop Technician is responsible for the overall Battery Shop; testing, maintaining and repairing Aircraft Lead Acid and Ni-Cad Batteries per OEM and FAA requirements.
- Location: Van Nuys, CA (KVNY)
 - Compensation: $31.26 - $37.51/per hour
 
Duties and Responsibilities
- Servicing, inspections and repairs of Aircraft Batteries in accordance with the OEM, FAA and Customer requirements. (Ni-cad Batteries, Sealed Lead Acid Batteries and Emergency Battery Packs).
 - Maintain accurate records.
 - Perform Quality Control inspections
 - Perform additional tasks & responsibilities as required.

- Ability to use Electronic Test Equipment to analyze, repair and charge Batteries
 - Ability to solve practical tasks and deal with a variety of changing situations
 - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
 - Good communication skills
 - Must be highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
 - Mechanical aptitude.
 - Ability and willingness to learn basic electronics and battery operations
 - Ability to work with complex equipment
 - Ability to follow established procedures.
 - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
 - Ability to select and evaluate priorities.
 - Problem solving and decision-making skills.
 - Good verbal, written & computer skills.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Experience within an Electronics Components Technicians role required, Aerospace/Aircraft industry preferred.
 
** Must pass pre-employment drug testing and background check.
