Software QA Analyst en BG Products Inc.

Job Purpose

This position will be responsible for testing customer-facing web and mobile applications. The Software QA Analyst must be a self-starter with a broad base of analytical, technical and problem-solving skills, as well as having demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. This role requires effective communication skills, both with team members and business partners. The Software QA Analyst must be able to work under minimal supervision with engineering, sales, and support teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adheres to company policies and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.

• Perform software testing, ensuring each release meets well-defined quality standards and the impact of all new features are tested across the entire application.

• Identify, analyze, and document defects, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions.

• Analyze test results, obtain feedback, and communicate with product development teams to assist in problem resolution.

• Respond to inquiries from users and technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs.

• Establish benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times.

• Recommend program improvements or revisions to developers and system analysts. 

• Review computer logs and reports to identify program processing errors and possible improvements.

• Stay current with software QA best practices, methodologies, technologies, and continue to improve the QA processes across the team.

• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production verification processes as part of the deployment cycle.

• Review and contribute to software program documentation.

• Other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

?• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

• 3+ years of software testing experience required. 

• Demonstrated experience working with various software development methodologies, i.e. Waterfall, Agile, Scrum or similar.

• Experience using Test Management tools, Amazon Web Services, and QA automation tools strongly preferred.
