GDS Consulting - FS & BMS Account Leader

 

 

Position Summary

 

This is a dual leadership role within EY GDS. The successful candidate will serve as:

 

  • Account Leader for one of EY’s strategic Financial Services clients based in Mumbai, responsible for driving growth, delivery excellence, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Region Integration Leader for ASEAN, tasked with strengthening
  • GDS integration across ASEAN markets, aligning delivery capabilities, and enabling cross-border collaboration.

 

 

Essential Functions of the job

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Account Leadership – FS Client 

  • Own and grow the client relationship, acting as the primary GDS interface for the account.
  • Drive account strategy, delivery excellence, and innovation across service lines including Consulting, Assurance, Tax, and Technology.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions aligned with client priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with EY’s global standards, data protection, and risk protocols.
  • Collaborate with global EY partners to identify new opportunities and expand GDS footprint.

 

Region Integration – ASEAN

  • Develop and execute a region-wide integration strategy for ASEAN, enhancing GDS alignment with EY country practices.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new capabilities and talent across ASEAN delivery centers.
  • Champion cross-border teaming, knowledge sharing, and operational harmonization.
  • Represent GDS in regional forums, leadership councils, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in regional delivery performance.
  • Analytical/Decision Making

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)

 

 

Education & Experience Skills & Experience

 

  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale accounts within Financial Services.
  • Deep understanding of GDS operating model, service lines, and global delivery frameworks.
  • Experience in regional integration, cross-border teaming, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive growth through strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

 

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

 

  • 20+ years of experience in professional services, with at least 5 years in a Partner or equivalent leadership role.
  • Exposure to ASEAN markets and multicultural environments.
  • Certifications in project management, risk, or financial services domains are a plus.
