ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

SALARY: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 PER YEAR, ANNUALIZED

Silver State Refrigeration & HVAC, LLC., has an opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist.  This is an entry-level role that supports the senior staff accountants and the accounting department leadership by performing daily accounting tasks such as processing payables, reconciling bank statements, maintaining financial records, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures and financial report preparation. 

Key qualifications include a degree in accounting proficiency with accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Sage, Microsoft Excel, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multi-task and meet company deadlines. 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Accounts Payable: Processing payments, managing vendor accounts, reviewing purchase orders, and ensuring timely customer payments.

Bank Reconciliations: Balancing accounts, verifying transactions, and identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

General Ledger: entering financial transactions into the accounting system and maintaining accurate financial records.

Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Support: Assist senior staff accountants and accounting leadership with closing the books and preparing financial statements.

Reporting: Preparing and submitting financial reports, budgets, and other documents as needed.

Compliance: Ensuring financial records and transactions adhere to company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education & Experience: A college or university diploma or equivalent experience in accounting.

Software Proficiency & Technical Skills: Strong skills in accounting software, (like QuickBooks and/or Sage), advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Knowledge: A solid understanding of fundamental financial and accounting principles and practices.

Work Ethic: Be able to work under tight deadlines, manage time effectively, and collaborate as part of a team. 

Employees are subject to a 90-day probation period.
