Join Summit Home Care and Hospice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to supporting and treat patients in Assisted Living (AL) and Independent Living (IL) facilities, in addition to in-home visits! You’ll enjoy a consistent caseload, reduced travel time between visits, and the chance to build strong relationships with patients and facility staff.
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Details:
- Location: Dayton, OH & Surround Areas
- Schedule: PRN | Flexible Scheduling
- Pay per Visit: $35.00 - $50.00 (Based on Visit Type)
- Travel Required: Yes - Milage Reimbursed at $0.48/Mile
What You'll Do:
- Help patients regain mobility, strength, and coordination through therapeutic exercises.
- Administer physical modalities like massage, EMS, and ultrasound to relieve pain and improve circulation.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and care teams to deliver holistic, personalized care.
- Educate patients on assistive devices (crutches, canes, prosthetics).
- Track progress, document care, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Be a trusted partner in each patient’s recovery journey.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Associate Degree in Science or Applied Science from an accredited institution.
- Active PTA license in Ohio.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
- Current CPR certification and recent TB test.
- Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel to patient homes and facilities.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in physical therapy, rehab, or home health.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
- A heart for helping others and a commitment to excellence.
