Job Summary

This individual will be responsible for identifying market applications, working with engineering on product definition, promoting and selling laser products. This position will work closely with the IPG field sales team to identify prospects, ensure timely quoting, support closing business, and conduct customer follow-up. In addition, this position will work with IPG marketing to develop a promotional plan that generates high quality leads.

 

Job Duties

  • Identify sales leads, analyze application requirements, and pitch suitable products to new customers. Maintain a good working relationship with all new contacts.
  • Identify key growth areas by type, and implement strategies to accelerate market penetration; through communication of key application areas, key success stories, emerging opportunities etc.
  • Assist in the formation of a standard product range, product configuration and pricing, to achieve companies target margins.
  • Support sales team in closing business.
  • Work with Product Engineering Lead to develop new product definitions and specifications.
  • Work with applications to ensure that customers receive timely and high quality samples.
  • Develop and maintain competitive market intelligence and benchmark current IPG products against the leaders in each market segment.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a material processing business strategic plan.
  • Coordinate and promote product lines sales internationally.
  • Develop new sales channels to support selected markets.
  • Develop a network of integrators to support the sales of customized systems.
  • Management of leads and opportunity pipeline using Salesforce.com. Creation of systems specific reports and dashboards to monitor performance in real time.
  • Provide annual, quarterly, and monthly sales forecasts.
  • Identify, develop, and manage alternative sales channels to address specific markets or regions.
  • Work alongside other departments to produce standard service teams, and set service policy for the sale of laser systems
