Primary Purpose: 

Deliver high-quality instruction to elementary students in alignment with RYSS Schools’ academic standards and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes student growth, achievement, and character development. 

Qualifications: 

Education/Certification: 

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university 

• Valid Texas teaching certificate for EC-4, EC-6. 

• ESL Certification preferred 

Special Knowledge/Skills: 

• Strong knowledge of core academic subjects and TEKS 

• Effective classroom management and instructional strategies 

• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners 

• Proficient in integrating technology into instruction 

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills 

Experience: 

• Successful student teaching or prior teaching experience preferred 

Major Responsibilities and Duties: 

Instructional Strategies 

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with TEKS and district curriculum. 

• Collaborate with campus staff to support student achievement and instructional goals. 

• Utilize data-driven strategies to address individual student needs and learning styles. 

• Modify instruction for students with special needs in collaboration with support staff. 

• Integrate technology and hands-on learning to enhance student engagement. 

Student Growth and Development 

• Serve as a positive role model and uphold the mission and values of RYSS Schools. 

• Maintain confidentiality of student records and personal information. 

Classroom Management and Organization  

• Create a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom environment. 

• Implement behavior management strategies in accordance with school policies. 

• Protect and maintain classroom resources and facilities. 

• Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance. 

Communication  

• Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. 

• Maintain open and professional communication with all stakeholders. 

Professional Growth and Development  

• Participate in ongoing professional development and learning communities. 

• Adhere to all state, district, and school policies and procedures. 

Other  

• Follow RYSS safety protocols and emergency procedures.
