Hyatt Regency Dallas is looking for an experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our highly skilled and recognized Culinary team. The ideal Chef de Cuisine has to lead and manage a culinary team in collaboration with the Executive Chef and/or Executive Sous Chef to create, implement and maintain a quality, consistent guest experience. This individual will bring inspiration, culinary expertise, and desire to develop our culinary talent. Knowledge of industry trends and menu design are an integral part of this role.
The Chef de Cuisine performs in a fast-paced, high volume environment overseeing the Banquet kitchen
Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to Hyatt brand standards
Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
- Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
 - Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment
 - Lead, inspire and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and colleague satisfaction
 - Scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
 - Plan, coordinate & implement special events and holiday functions

- Culinary Arts Degree, previous hotel experience preferred
 - 3 years in leadership role as a banquet chef
 - In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations
 - Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
 - Experience with training, basic financial management and customer service
 - Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook
 - A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast paced customer service environment
 - Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
 - Geographic and schedule flexibility preferred
 - Strong training and communication skills
