Lawyers’ Committee
for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area
(LCCRSF) seeks a detail-oriented person who works well with people, is passionate about immigrant and racial justice and has strong organizational skills, to serve a critical
administrative role
at our dynamic civil rights nonprofit.

Position Summary

The Litigation Assistant
will
provide
legal assistant and administrative and research support for
the Racial Justice and Immigrant Justice teams
that handle large-scale civil rights cases.

About LCCRSF

As one of the West Coast’s longest-standing civil rights organizations, LCCRSF
stands with historically vulnerable communities, immigrants, and refugees—advancing their rights through litigation, advocacy, and direct legal support. We work alongside legal fellows, 1,000+ pro bono attorneys, and committed volunteers. Learn more at lccrsf.org.

Your Role

This position will serve
a critical support role for two teams
that handle high-intensity, large-scale litigation matters. The position will require someone who is a self-starter, has exacting attention to detail, and who can remain nimble, flexible, and responsive to competing deadlines and tasks requested to support our litigators, pro bono partners, and clients.

Immigrant and Racial Justice
litigators
primarily
maintain separate dockets with separate cases, goals, and timelines. A successful Litigation Assistant will be able to balance competing demands on their time,
anticipate and communicate where deadlines and demands overlap and plan accordingly, and “manage up” by proactively communicating potential issues and key developments between both teams.
