Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners (“AJCP”) is seeking a Project Manager to join our Capital Projects Team and support its rapid growth across various investment platforms focused on the hospitality, mixed-use, and single-family rental sectors.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Manager, Capital Projects supports the Director, Capital Projects in planning, coordinating, and executing capital improvement initiatives across a diverse portfolio of hospitality assets. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with brand standards, design intent, and ownership objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented project management professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, brand representatives, consultants, and contractors.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
PROJECT PLANNING & COORDINATION
- Assist the Director of Capital Projects in the development and execution of annual and multi-year capital plans across a portfolio of hotels and resorts.
- Coordinate with property operations teams, independent consultants, and brand representatives to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Support feasibility studies, cost estimating, and project scheduling during the pre-construction phase.
PROJECT EXECUTION & OVERSIGHT
- Manage assigned projects from concept through completion, including design, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Facilitate communication between contractors, designers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct regular site visits to review work progress and quality compliance.
FINANCIAL & CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
- Assist in developing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Review and process contractor pay applications, change orders, and invoices.
- Support procurement efforts, including bid solicitation, evaluation, and contract negotiation in collaboration with the Director.
BRAND & DESIGN COMPLIANCE
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable brand standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with design and brand teams to review plans, materials, and finishes.
- Maintain consistency and quality across the portfolio through standardized processes and design execution.
REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION
- Prepare project reports, schedules, and status updates for leadership review.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and records.
- Support the Director in presenting capital project updates and recommendations to senior management.
WHO YOU ARE
AJCP is seeking a highly-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, but disciplined, entrepreneurial environment. This role also requires the following capabilities:
- Strong and effective communicator and presenter internally and externally
- Knowledge of and experience with hospitality design and development.
- Sense of accountability for quality of own work and the work of the team
- Proactive critical thinker who takes the lead in solving problems and comfortable making informed recommendations
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel and MS Project)
- Strong experience using construction management software programs
- Must be a collaborative team-oriented individual but also an independent worker who can prioritize and coordinate multiple competing tasks in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrated management and supervisory skills sufficient to lead, direct, evaluate, and mentor, subordinate and peer employee staff, as well as consultant teams
- Ability and preference for working in a team-oriented setting, and interacting with several departments (Development, Interior Design, Procurement, Asset Management, Operations, and Finance).
- Extensive experience in negotiating Architectural, Consulting and Construction Agreements.
Requirements
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 5+ years of project management and/or development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate, Architecture, or related education
- Experience working across a portfolio of properties
- Ability to read and relay information from design documents including: Construction drawings, FFE specifications, and Material Schedules
- Proficient level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Preferred
- General contractor pre-construction estimating experience
- Hospitality specific development experience
- Familiarity working towards brand standards
- Experience with design or construction based softwares. Such as: AutoCAD, Photoshop (Adobe Creative Suite), or Bluebeam

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensations, or range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Illinois. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of AJCP’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $90,000-$110,000. Other rewards may include annual bonuses. In addition, we provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
