OVERVIEW
The virtual Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) role encompasses the full range of responsibilities typically held by an in-house Information System Security Manager (ISSM), with the added challenge of supporting multiple client environments. This position requires a deep understanding of diverse compliance frameworks and the ability to tailor security solutions to each client’s unique requirements. The ISSE will play a key role in advancing CCS’s defense compliance program and supporting the continued growth and expansion of our cybersecurity capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop security policies and assists clients in implementation and ongoing maintenance
- Assess client risks, identify vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate
- Assist clients with building security awareness training programs
- Collaborate with other defense compliance team members to design and implement secure architectures for client information systems
- Develop security documentation and reporting programs
- Build POAMs and remediate client environments
- Participate in client security governance processes
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Gain knowledge/expertise in the handling of FOCI mitigated clients
QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive knowledge of DFARs, NIST guidelines, NISPOM, CMMC 2.0
- CISSP or equivalent certifications
- 7+ years in the IT administration and security field
- 5+ years working in the defense sector
- 2+ years of Office 365 GCC High/Azure Gov Cloud administration
- Knowledge of Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet network products
- Experience with VMware, Veeam, Microsoft Windows Server, management tools
- Has or can obtain security clearance
