Senior Manager, Corporate Events & Sponsorships
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Corporate Events & Sponsorships is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution and optimization of Gordon Brothers’ corporate events and sponsorships in North America. This role will oversee corporate and client-facing events, industry conferences, proprietary engagements, and sponsorship programs that elevate brand visibility and drive business growth.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on executor with a proven track record in event marketing and sponsorship management. They will collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership, marketing, and business development teams to deliver high-impact experiences and measurable ROI. This position has one direct report, the Senior Associate, Event Marketing, and is based in our headquarters in Boston.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management
- Lead the planning and execution of corporate events, trade shows, client receptions, and proprietary programs.
- Construct presentations for proposed event programs that are well-organized to gain buy in from key stakeholders
- Build event strategies with business partners, ensuring alignment on expectations
- Run cross-functional planning meetings, manage pre- and post-event communications, attendee engagement, and on-site logistics.
- Design and oversee end-to-end logistics to optimize attendee experience and business outcomes
- Create integrated project plans and workstreams, serving as the single source of truth for stakeholders, to design, document, and execute innovative multi-channel marketing programs for events.
- Drive continuous process improvements within the events team and with partners, implementing operational best practices
- Align programs to company initiatives, brand standards and strategic priorities
- Maintain events calendar and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Oversee corporate gift and promotional item program, including online storefront.
- Oversee event management platform and ensure fit-for purpose solution that allows for scale and growth globally
Sponsorship Management
- Develop and implement sponsorship strategies to maximize brand exposure and engagement.
- Identify and negotiate sponsorship opportunities with industry organizations and partners.
- Ensure delivery of sponsorship benefits and track performance metrics.
Budget & ROI Measurement
- Manage event and sponsorship budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value delivery.
- Track expenses, attendance, and post-event evaluations to assess ROI and inform future planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in event marketing and sponsorships, preferably in professional services or B2B environments.
- Proven track record design programs that deepen executive relationships and deliver measurable business impact
- Strong executive presence with confidence and polish in engaging directly with C-level stakeholders
- Skilled at balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, global environment
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including strategic business planning, project budget management, operational planning, vendor management and negotiating third party contracts.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator, collaborator and project manager with the ability to influence across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Salesforce and event management platforms.
- Willingness to travel periodically for event execution.
- Corporate brand and marketing exposure and experience a plus
*Travel outside of Boston is approximately 2 times a year
