In this role, the Senior PC Design Checker will Check moderate to complex printed circuit board layouts and drawings with digital, analog, RF, power circuits and interconnect applications.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Check that all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design.
- Participate in design reviews, interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and process engineers to ensure proto-type and production quality printed circuit boards are designed in accordance with BAE Systems standards and procedures.
- Check related fabrication and assembly drawings, parts lists, incorporated changes to existing design documentation and component library parts.
- Review all outputs files required for the manufacture of the board and assembly to ensure they are ready for fab.
- Provide feedback to design engineers as needed to ensure functionality and manufacturability of PCB designs.
- Suggest options when faced with challenging PCB design situations including resolutions to non-standard problems.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Skills and Education
- Must have at least 8-10 years hands on printed circuit board design experience.
- Must be proficient in Cadence Software.
- Proficient with complex board layouts IAW IPC-2221 and associated IPC specs and standards.
- Must have a working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100.
- Must have a working knowledge of GD&T
- Strong communication skills to be used in conveying all the correct layout information to drafting and design teams as well as instructing drafting teams on how to incorporate design changes into drawings.
- Experienced incorporating engineering change orders on Cadence Designs using Product Data Management tool.
- Proficient in researching and understanding Military and Commercial Specifications.
- Expert reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings.

- Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- 12+ years of experience in the design of printed circuit boards and Rigid Flex
- Proficient with CADENCE ALLEGRO version 16 or higher
- Must be proficient in using the Cadence constraint manager and have a solid knowledge of Signal Integrity and Design For Manufacture rules.
- Proficient in Schematic Capture using Cadence Concept HDL
- Solid understanding of IPC-2221 and associated specs and standards.
- Knowledge of Valor a plus
