Who We Are
Taher, Inc. is a family-owned, chef-driven food service management company with operations in K-12 schools, senior living, corporate dining, and more. We are proud to rank in Food Management’s Top 25 and operate with a mission centered on hospitality, community, and care.
Why This Role Matters
At Taher, our people are our secret ingredient. As a Regional HRBP, you’ll help us build a reputation as an employer of choice — not from behind a desk, but by being present in the field, solving real problems, and supporting great people doing great work. The Regional HRBP is not just an HR generalist — this role is a critical operational partner. You’ll work hand-in-hand with regional leaders and unit-based teams to identify real-world people challenges, then build HR solutions by working backwards from those field needs. This isn’t top-down HR. You won’t just implement programs — you’ll help co-create them, embedded in the region, building trust, solving problems, and enhancing the employee experience all the way to the front lines.
Key Responsibilities:
Field-Facing HR Support: This Regional HRBP Role serves MN, SD, NE, KS, CO, AZ, SC and requires some travel.
- Serve as the regional quarterback for HR issues — hourly and salaried — including conflict resolution, coaching, and policy application.
- Use the Taher Handbook and leadership principles to guide resolutions rooted in empathy and fairness.
- Manage and track payroll change forms, anniversary recognition, and regional unemployment claims.
Strategic Projects & Operational Support
- Identify people and performance gaps in the field and work backward to co-create tools, training, or process improvements.
- Contribute to cross-functional HR projects (e.g., retention, engagement, DEI) that enhance field operations.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Own end-to-end recruitment for your region, maintaining a proactive 10% bench of pre-qualified talent.
- Train and coach FSDs and unit leaders on effective job postings, interviewing, and hiring.
- Ensure new team members are welcomed, trained, and retained through an engaging onboarding process.
Training & Development
- Lead and deliver monthly FSD trainings and field-based leadership development sessions.
- Partner with the Director of Employee Development to adapt and implement new training initiatives.
- Ensure diversity training and compliance-based education are delivered regionally and meaningfully.
Career Pathing & Performance
- Conduct career pathing conversations with every team member in the region.
- Facilitate and track biannual employee reviews, providing coaching to FSDs on performance conversations.
