Workday Administrator

Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, responsible for cross-functional collaboration with Information Technology, Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement to maintain and optimize Workday functionality to meet changing business needs.

Salary: $107,164.29

Position Description

1. Conducts ongoing requirement analysis, designs, tests, deploys, and maintains Workday configuration for current and new functionality or enhancements. Prepares all operational areas for Workday bi-annual releases.


2. Troubleshoots and resolves production support issues in a timely manner. Monitors tickets and responds to daily support requests. Provides support, including researching, identifying and resolving unexpected results and process errors.


3. Writes standard, advanced, matrix and composite reports as well as creates complex calculated fields, custom objects, and worksheets.


4. Serves as a strategic resource by engaging in the Workday Community to stay current on industry best practices. Designs and maintains user-friendly job aids and delivers targeted training sessions as needed. Oversees and administers all aspects of Tenant management, Community user access, and implementer permissions to ensure secure and efficient system operations.


5. Supports existing Workday Enterprise Interface integrations with vendors, monitoring processes to ensure successful execution.


6. Configures and performs uploads utilizing Enterprise Interface Buildings (EIBs) when needed.


7. Maintains all Security Groups, Roles, Business Process, and Domain Access configurations to ensure system integrity, compliance, and optimal user access across the organization.


8. Manages the migration of reports, business processes, configurations, and security groups across Workday Tenants using the Configuration Console (CC) Tenant to ensure consistency, accuracy, and system integrity.


9. Assists with software implementation and upgrades as necessary.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent combination of experience and training. Workday certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE - Three (3) years of experience directly related to Workday administration and collaborating with multiple operational areas (Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Procurement). Experience with report writing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and EXPERIENCE – Knowledge of multiple Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Financial, Procurement, and Adaptive Planning. Knowledge of Workday report writing and calculated fields. Knowledge of Workday security configuration and business process management. Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft suite, especially Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Excellent human relations skills to include ability to build effective and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Skill in communicating effectively in both verbal and written form, exercising tact, self-restraint, judgment, and strategy in dealing with people of all races, ethnicities, and socio-economic groups.


Ability to work independently and translate functional requirements into technology requirements that leverage the existing and new technology. Ability to present ideas effectively to an individual or group, formally and informally. Ability to interact with others in a way that inspires trust, confidence, and integrity.
