The Bank Reconciliation Clerk supports the overall business while protecting our organization and customers by preparing daily escrow bank reconciliations. This position also identifies and resolves reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
This is an in-office position, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Essential Functions
- Prepare daily Escrow bank reconciliations (approx 15) involving thousands of transactions per day across all of the accounts.
- Identify and resolve variances accurately and in a timely manner, including follow-up on deposits in transit, voided checks attempting to clear the bank, check endorsement issues, ACH authorizations, and other similar matters.
- Coordinate time-sensitive bank matters quickly and efficiently to key stakeholders.
- Communicate discrepancies to Management in a timely manner.
- Develop relationships with our banking partners and work closely with the banks regarding any discrepancies.
- Develop relationships with our closing staff and assist that staff with check/deposit copies or any other matters that arise in a timely fashion.
- Understand escrow accounting and uphold the company’s responsibility to protect the escrow funds

Education and Experience
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of basic clerical and/or customer service experience is strongly preferred.
- One or more years of Bank Reconciliation experience handling multiple accounts is strongly preferred.
- One or more years of experience handling a complex reconciliation (bank or otherwise)
- Additional accounting or banking experience is strongly preferred.
Working Conditions
- This job is based in our Orchard Place office and requires being in the office M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and desk work.
- Regular verbal and written communication via email, phone, and in-person.
Compensation:
- The anticipated salary for this position is $55,000 and $65,000 annually
- In accordance with Colorado state law, this position is non-exempt and all overtime will be paid at time and a half.
- Annual employee profit-sharing bonus, based upon company performance.
