Essential Functions

• Run chain of title, search various country records and databases for both property address and parties' names
• Verification parties are not of the OF AC watch list
• Pull copies of all documents
• Interpreting chain of title, clearing title issues, familiarity with statutory requirements, legal descriptions, easements, required
• Ability to communicate with escrow and/or clients how issues with title were created and how to resolve is imperative
• Pull county/city/jurisdiction property tax information
• Type/prepare title commitments and/or title policies
• Make changes/corrections as requested to title commitment and/or policy
• Update/Date down/Bring to Date effective date of title commitment upon request
• Notify title examiner/title department manager/escrow officer of any items on update
• Record documents as requested
• Review and/or coordinate approval of documents from branches
• Review and/or coordinate with underwriter as necessary
• Communication with escrow staff
• Communication with Realtors, Lenders, Attorneys, Buyers or Sellers as requested
• Ability to make sound and calculated underwriting decisions, seeking approval as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience, Skills

• High School diploma required/Associate's degree preferred
• Minimum five years relevant work experience in the title industry preferred
• Comfortable interpreting raw title work from abstract required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
• Team oriented and professional
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with RamQuest preferred
