We are seeking a motivated Commercial Assistant to join our market-leading company in the Highways Maintenance industry. As a Commercial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the commercial administration process. Working collaboratively with our commercial and operational colleagues you will ensure the seamless execution of projects from initial pricing to delivery, applications for payment and the final account process. Ideally you will have qualifications, experience or a keen interest of the Construction or Highways Industry.
Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with team members and liaise closely with commercial and operational colleagues.
- Follow established commercial processes to manage projects from pricing to completion.
- Ensure accurate and timely applications for payment.
- Assist in the final account process, maintaining a keen eye for detail to avoid discrepancies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient commercial administration procedures.
- Support the Estimator with estimating tasks.
- Travel across the UK representing WJ Group at industry events, expanding your network and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge or experience in the Construction or Highways industry (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work setting.
- Driving Licence is an advantage to any application.
