Director of Quality en Mainstream Engineering

We are seeking a Director of Quality to lead and elevate our company-wide quality assurance and control programs across all phases of R&D, prototype development, and production manufacturing. This hands-on leader will ensure that our processes, products, and systems meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance for both military and commercial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Quality Department, managing Quality Engineers and Inspectors.
• Oversee all quality systems and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100
• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide quality management systems (QMS), policies, and procedures.
• Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is built into design and production processes.
• Direct root cause analyses and implement effective corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Manage internal, customer, and third-party audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee supplier quality performance and develop improvement plans for key vendors.
• Ensure all inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to build a proactive, quality-focused culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Proven experience in manufacturing environments, preferably defense, aerospace, or high-reliability industries is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and DoD quality requirements is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive measurable improvements.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM/OE, etc.) are a plus.
