At Guide Dogs for the Blind, you can use your deferred giving administrative skills to serve a fulfilling mission – helping to gather and facilitate the charitable support that keeps our organization running. As a Planned Giving Specialist, we’ll rely on your detail-oriented administrative expertise to help manage bequests, maintain donor and estate records, ensure compliance with state requirements, and collaborate with fiduciaries, attorneys, and donors to facilitate timely and accurate planned gift processing. This is a full-time, campus-based position with opportunity to work-from-home 2 days per week.
What you’ll do:
Administer all aspects of bequests, including reviewing estate documents and tracking distributions
Support the Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) and Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) programs.
Conduct preliminary reviews of incoming wills, trust documents, accountings, and financial statements
Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and coordinate data with IT, Accounting, and Development Operations
Serve as liaison with Accounting staff during audits
Assist in developing and monitoring the Planned Giving budget

The qualifications you’ll need:
5–7 years of experience preferred in planned giving or estate administration
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relational databases; Salesforce experience preferred
Highly organized, accurate, and able to manage multiple projects independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
