Job Purpose
To operate a simple piece of equipment with repetitive functions.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Climbing stairs and ladders regularly to inspect equipment
- Make rounds and monitor equipment in the field
- Continuous housekeeping using shovels, air wands, skidsteers and blowers
- Assist the operator with equipment issues
- Operate forklift to empty dumpsters
- Take moisture samples as needed
- Record pump pressures on thermal oil pumps
- Handle upset conditions in the dryer area
- Relieve operator for breaks
Perform general preventative maintenance.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of simple equipment operation.
- Knowledge of general equipment maintenance.
- Time management skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 3 – 6 months experience.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
