Who Were Looking For:
The type of individual who wants to run their own business, but within the safe confines of a larger organization. Someone who looks forward to putting on the work gloves in the morning, then diving into the P&L in the afternoon. A manager who understands that the customer is the driving force behind everything we do from daily dock walks, ground maintenance, and clean restrooms. Greeting customers at the fuel dock and asking how the fish were biting. We want a people person who can manage the business today, but who also has the strategic chops to develop tomorrow's bottom line.
What You'll Do:
- Report to the General Manager of the marina
- Create, and operate in a clean and secure environment that ensures the absolute safety of our employees and customers alike.
- Recognize the value of premium customer service and execute practices that are beneficial to both the customer and the needs and goals of the marina.
- Have a firm grasp on the marina business. Knows the primary revenue drivers, as well as the areas with the highest profit margins.
- Become an expert operator of our marina forklift(s)
- Coach, mentor, and develop the best trained marina staff in the business
- Drive efficiencies, implement operational improvements, and constantly strive for customer satisfaction

Qualifications
What You Need:
- At least 5 years of experience working in, or overseeing, a physical operation with supervisory experience, required.
- Ability to lead and manage a team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Certified Marina Manager (CMM) from the Association of Marina Industries (AMI) preferred but not required.
- First aid, CPR, and other safety certifications are preferred.
- Awareness of environmentally friendly practices to minimize the marina’s ecological footprint.
- Independence & intuition; curiosity & creativity.
- Solid problem-solving skills: the ability to address immediate needs and quickly find resolutions to issues.
- A strong willingness to learn not just the immediate duties, but those of the entire marina operation.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase marina occupancy, boat rentals, and ancillary income.
- Understand Key Metric Results, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Understanding of organizational financial processes and knowledge of profit and loss statements.
- Plan and prioritizes and make deadlines aligned with organizational goals.
- Top-notch verbal and written communication skills.
- Overseeing the supply and storage of marina equipment, parts, and materials.
- An associate’s degree: a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with marina management software, booking systems, and general office tools.
