Job Summary:

The Tax Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s global income tax provision process, external reporting, and related compliance obligations. Reporting directly to the Tax Director, this role will oversee quarterly and annual tax accounting under ASC 740, ensure compliance with reporting requirements across jurisdictions, and partner with internal teams and external advisors to streamline processes. The ideal candidate is a highly technical professional with strong tax accounting expertise, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced global environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review global tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures, including calculations of discrete period adjustments and return-to-provision adjustments.

  • Prepare and review forecasted cash tax, forecasted effective tax rate, and adjusted effective tax rate.

  • Support internal and external audits with documentation and reconciliations.

  • Maintain tax reporting calendar and ensure timely filings and deliverables.

  • Analyze tax account balances and reconcile with general ledger.

  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting for tax expenses and cash taxes.

  • Develop and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy in tax operations.

  • Maintain and enhance internal controls over tax reporting and compliance processes.

  • Support tax planning initiatives and special projects, including M&A, restructurings, and financing transactions

  • Supervise and mentor tax staff, provide training and development opportunities and foster a culture of accountability, service excellence and continuous learning

  • Identify skill gaps and provide ongoing training and development to ensure team readiness and performance.

Education and Experience:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation, CPA, or Chartered Accountant strongly preferred).

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in tax reporting/accounting, with a mix of Big 4/public accounting and in-house multinational corporate tax experience strongly preferred.

  • 3 + years managing teams and developing staff in a fast-paced environment

  • Deep knowledge of ASC 740 (U.S. GAAP) income tax accounting.

  • Experience with SOX/internal controls and external financial reporting (SEC reporting experience a plus).

  • Proficiency with tax provision software (e.g., OneSource Tax Provision, Longview, Alteryx, or similar).

  • Strong technical tax accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical matters to non-tax stakeholders.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $170,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
