- Form part of a delivery team responsible for implementing and commissioning fibre telecoms systems and equipment for major clients, including:
- Network Rail Route Services and Capital Delivery
- Network Rail High Speed
- Transport for London
- Merseytravel
- Train Operating Companies, Local Councils, and Passenger Transport Executives
- Undertake installation, testing, and commissioning activities as assigned by the Person in Charge of Testing (PICOT), who may also authorise the STCE to sign off test results on their behalf.
- Support the Lead Testing & Commissioning Engineer in the implementation, testing, verification, validation, and final commissioning of telecoms projects within the ADComms portfolio.
- Ensure delivery of both trackside and train-borne telecoms equipment in line with the company programme, maintaining full compliance with:
- Telecoms testing and commissioning standards
- Client, OEM, and company requirements
- Safety protocols for bringing systems into service
- Fulfil the competency requirements of a Level 1 Testing & Commissioning Engineer, as assessed by the ADComms Training Manager against the agreed competency matrix.
- Provide ongoing support to the Lead Testing & Commissioning Engineer, and where required, step up into the lead role for specific projects to establish a bespoke delivery team for a defined and agreed duration.
