Ichor Systems has an immediate opening for a Machinist, located in Fremont, CA. Reporting to the Sr. Manufacturing Manager, the Machinist will set up and operate manual lathes to produce precision parts, ensuring quality, and adherence to specifications.
Specific Job Duties:
- Perform complex set up and run manual lathe machines, operate lathes using SST stock and tubing, manufacture parts to inch and metric specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Measure and verify dimensions using inspection tooling
- Evaluate and justify new tooling and machining processes
- Work from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and specifications to identify deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity
- Perform deburring of parts
- Maintain logs and other necessary documents
- Complete routing and process planning as necessary
- Design or assist in the design of tooling and fixtures
- Act as a technical resource
- Perform 1st Article of Inspection
- May oversee the work of others
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Position Requirements:
- 4-5+ years manufacturing or related work experience
- A.A. degree or equivalent experience, or any combination of education and experience
- Vocational or technical training or equivalent
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of various cutting tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings in inch and metric units and BOMs
- Strong understanding of related mechanics, flow control elements and MRP concepts Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Ability to handle fragile products, perform repetitive tasks and demonstrate safety awareness
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
For candidates based in California: The pay range for this position is $29.00 – $49.00 per hour.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
