Summary/Function:
This position is responsible for processing account transfers into and out of D.A. Davidson and processing physical securities. This role requires flexibility, organization, accuracy, and attention to detail. The qualified applicant will be capable of working independently and as a team member.
Qualifications:
• General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proactively work with both branches and transfer agents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work in high pressure situations.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
• Must be able to communicate in a clear and service-oriented manner using appropriate, professional language and grammar to effectively exchange ideas and information.
• Ability to proactively work with both external and internal clients.
• Must have the ability to interact with others in a professional manner in order to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives.
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance.
Duties:
• Process journal entries to transfer book entry shares held with transfer agent via DRS and DWAC systems, or through issuance of certificate.
• Process securities transfers according to transfer instructions and requirements.
• Support FAs and their support teams to research and resolve issues and/or questions in a collaborative manner.
• Request appropriate documents from branches in order to process and clear safekeeping trades.
• Follow-up on all past due trades.
• Follow up with transfer agents on pending physical transfer items
• Process both incoming and outgoing asset transfers through ACATS.
• Review and approve non-ACATS transfers submitted through the TRAX system.
• Deposit checks and securities for incoming non-ACATS transfers
• Process outgoing non-ACATS transfers of securities and cash or securities only.
• Review account transfer forms to ensure that an authorized individual has signed the form and that all necessary legal documents are attached or on file.
• Deposit securities received via DTCC into client’s accounts.
• Provide support and assistance to retail branches in regard to account transfers.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
