Grade 4 Long Term Substitute
Located a ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, Loranger Memorial School is a 270 student, grades 3-8 School within RSU 23 seeking a Grade 4 Long Term SubstituteTeacher to join our team. The successful candidate should possess the following:
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Citizenship, residency or work visa
- Maintains or is eligible for Maine Department of Education Teaching Certification for elementary education (020)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with the Common Core State Standards and Maine Learning Results
- Understanding of elementary instructional practices and classroom management strategies
- Ability to deliver differentiated instruction to students of varying abilities
- Willingness to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective educational programming
- Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders within the school community
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment as it relates to proficiency-based education
- Experience integrating technology to support instruction
- Familiarity with PBIS or other positive behavior management strategies
- Interest in participating in the school community outside of the classroom
- Experience engaging students in relevant, inquiry-based learning experiences
